Hello,
I hope everyone has had a restful weekend and are ready for week two of 5th and 6th grade math!
This next week we will be covering fraction concepts including the following:
-Greatest common factor
-Simplifying fractions
-Improper and mixed fractions
-Adding, Subtracting, Multiplying, and Dividing Fractions
-How fractions relate to decimals
On Friday, if the students reach a class goal of 70 points, we will be practicing multiplying fractions by baking cookies! Please encourage your child to make good choices in class.
As for homework, please have your child continue to practice the multiplication flash cards that were sent home last week. If there is any other homework, I will send it home with your student.
I hope you have a blessed week!

Welcome to 5th and 6th Grade Math!!!
Hello students and parents!
Welcome to 5th and 6th grade summer school math! I am excited to review and learn more about math in fun and exciting ways this summer!
I have posted this website so that you, as parents, can have easy access to what is going on in class and what your child is learning. Be sure to check it often!
Also, I will be posting links to some cool math websites for kids so that the students can practice math facts at home.
If you have any questions or need to speak with me, you can email me at misslagasse@gmail.com. I check my email daily. You can also leave a message for me by calling the school at 818.767.8382 and asking for the Elementary Office.
Again, I look forward to reviewing essential math concepts, having fun, and helping your students be successful this summer!
Blessings to you and your family,
Miss Lagasse
